Truly, no one has taken the time to teach the poor boy even the basics of interacting with women. And to make matters worse, he is utterly delusional. His "friend" interrupts, and Scout asks him not to speak with this Spy. Sniper observes that, while he may have his faults, he's at least not as wretched as Scout's father.
